The edges of the raw appliqué will fray to the stitch line adding to the raw and distressed look.

Machine wash inside out in cold water, gentle cycle; do not soak or bleach. Hang dry or flat dry. If ironing, make sure to iron inside out on low heat. (ironing on the embroidery can cause the thread to melt)
